At the Wings Over Alma Nature & Art Center we strive to support local and regional area artists. By offering opportunities for artists to develop their careers and providing space to exhibit their art we hope to provide information on Artist Members that the public will find useful, local and current.
Artist Members play a significant role in the educational mission of the Nature & Art Center through their contirbutions to exhibitions of the highest quality and interactions with the community at events and exhibit openings.
Through their association with the Nature Art Center they have an opportunity to exhibit in a highly visible community arts venue, to present new works, and to develop their artistic reputation while enjoying the success that follows from building a community that understands and supports artistic and are educational goals. This relationship offers the artist opportunities for community involvement and educational enrichment.
New members are always welcome! To become a member of the Nature & Art Center please complete theMembership Application.
WISCONSIN ARTS BOARD Opportunities Available For Wisconsin Artists
Percent For Arts Program Wisconsin’s Percent for Art Program was established in 1980 for the purpose of placing artwork in the public setting, both to beautify our public buildings and urban environments, and to draw attention to the wealth of artistic expertise within our region. Under the legislation for the program, two-tenths of one percent of the total construction costs of new state building or renovation projects is designated for the commission or purchase of artwork. Only state buildings with a high degree of public access are eligible for Percent for Art funding.
