A rare treat, birding by mini-rail car through the Tiffany State Wildlife Area and the Chippewa River Bottoms.  Riding the Chippewa Valley Railroad Association's Mini-Train with a guide through the Tiffany Bottoms during the spring migration is an unforgettable experience.  During the 2010 spring birding event 76 species of birds were identified through sight or sound.

Complete and mail your registration form and fee to the Nature Center to reserve your spot for the 2011 Spring Birding Event. Cost is $40 per person, which includes the train ride, a sack lunch and some of the best birding guides in the area.  Register early for a confirmed seat on the mini-train.

This is an outdoor event, please be prepared for weather conditions and a 5-hour trip into the wilderness of the Tiffany Bottoms.  Weather could cause the trip to be rescheduled to a later date, the fee is non-refundable.

Many thanks to the
Chippewa Valley Motor Car Association and the Durand, Chippewa River & Pacific Railroad for their wonderful work in restoring the mini-trains and tracks into the Tiffany Wildlife Area & Chippewa River Bottoms.
