Great River Birding and Nature Festival Mini-Train Through Tiffany Bottoms May 8, 2010 7am to Noon
A rare treat! Birding by mini-rail car through the Tiffany State Wildlife Area and the Chippewa River Bottoms. Riding the Chippewa Valley Railroad Association's Mini-Train with a guide through the Tiffany Bottoms during the spring migration is an unforgettable experience. During the 2009 birding event 76 species of birds were sited.
Contact the Nature Center, or call (608) 685-3303 to reserve your spot for the 2010 Spring Birding Event. Cost is $40 per person, which includes the train ride, a sack lunch and some of the best birding guides in the area.
Many thanks to the Chippewa Valley Motor Car Association and the Durand, Chippewa River & Pacific Railroad for their wonderful work in restoring the mini-trains and tracks into the Tiffany Wildlife Area & Chippewa River Bottoms.
