Retired accounting professional and educator enjoying a bit of travel and making photographs along the way.

Interest in serious photography began after attending an Ansel Adams lecture in 1978.  Over the years I have utilized black-white films, color film, and color slides then in 2008 I purchased a digital single-lens reflex camera (DSLR) and donated all my film equipment to a local high school.

I consider myself to be a serious amateur who makes photographs across a variety of genre.  Landscapes top my list, but I have expanded in recent years to include architecture abstracts, cityscapes, events, travel, and street photography.  In essence, I make photographs as I travel about the United States with my bride (Vicki) of 50 plus years and our four-legged furry kids. I do not consider a photograph complete until I print it and hold it in my hands

Printing and exhibiting my photography have been my principal focus since retiring in 2013 from University of Wisconsin-Stout.  Prior to my accounting teaching career, I spent twenty years working for AT&T in various information systems operational and financial management positions.

I have exhibited and participated in over thirty-five art shows over the past six years see attached list.  I am an active member and participant with Valley Art Association, Chippewa Valley Photo Club, Western Wisconsin Photo Club, Beaver Creek Reserve Photo Club, Red Cedar Photographers and the Chippewa Valley Cultural Association.  In addition, I recently became involved with the North America Nature Photography Association (NANPA) and Wisconsin Chapter of the Photographic Society of America.

MY NEWEST EXHIBITS:

“Go West Journey” featuring my 2019 travels to the National Parks in Arizona and Utah.

“Drive Abouts” featuring what I see as I drive my Jeep about the backroads in Wisconsin.

“Dunn County Humane Society Events” featuring the action of dogs and owners attending.

“Flying High” featuring air shows and hot air balloons.

NOTE:
All the photos in this exhibit were printed and framed by me using archival materials and quality frames which are included in the prices posted.  If one desires to purchase without the framing, then please contact me directly for sizes and prices.
